Your Swarthmore Story
My favorite professor was Dr. Krugovoy. He had our Russian class meet at his home near campus. We often had dinners together with his family and loved to hear stories from his past in Russia. I remember going home once to Delaware, which was a half hour away, so that my mother could cook a Russian dish for him when he asked if our class could have a Russian dinner together. He was my mentor and inspiration. After graduating from Swarthmore, my first job was teaching Russian and German with Mrs. Sohodski, my former Russian high school teacher.
